MasterWorks to Attend 2007 ASBO International Conference – October 13th - 15th in Toronto, Ontario.

MasterWorks is pleased to announce our attendance at the 93rd annual ASBO International Meeting & Exhibits in Toronto, Ontario this October. MasterWorks will join hundreds of vendors at the largest gathering of School Business Officials in North America. We hope to see you there.

MasterWorks Adds First American Client – MasterWorks is pleased to announce the addition of our first American client, Hillel, a Jewish private school in North Miami Beach, Florida.

Hillel will be implementing the MasterWorks Substitute Booking system to record Teacher/Substitute activity, share and collect information between schools and provide related reporting. Welcome!

MasterWorks Adds Two “New” Payroll Clients – MasterWorks is pleased to announce that South East Cornerstone School Division and Turtle Mountain School Division will both implement the MasterWorks Payroll system in January of 2007.

South East Cornerstone School Division (SECSD), headquartered in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, was formed January 1, 2006 as an amalgamation of 6 school divisions (5 of which were MasterWorks clients). SECSD used MasterWorks Payroll through 2006 and has chosen to combine their databases and carry on with MasterWorks Payroll for 2007.

SECSD joins a number of Saskatchewan divisions choosing MasterWorks over a provincially-supported alternative.

Turtle Mountain School Division, headquartered in Killarney, Manitoba, operates 7 schools with approximately 1100 students in south western Manitoba. A long-time user of MasterWorks Financial systems, the implementation of the Payroll will provide TMSD with an integrated and efficient software package. We look forward to expanding our business with you!

Providence to Implement MasterWorks Financials – MasterWorks is pleased to introduce Calgary-based Providence, a therapeutic and educational preschool for children with disabilities, as our newest user. This non-profit will implement MasterWorks Financial, Web Based School Access and Excel Integration in September of 2006. Welcome aboard!

MasterWorks Welcomes Additional Ontario Client – MasterWorks is pleased to announce the addition of another Ontario member of our Users Group, the Red Lake Combined R.C.S.S. Board in Red Lake, Ontario. The board will be implementing MasterWorks Classic Financials, Payroll, Web Based School Access, Substitute Booking and Excel Integration systems with a ‘go live’ date of September 1st. Red Lake is located in Northern Ontario, approximately 280 kilometres north of Kenora.

MasterWorks Welcomes Ontario – MasterWorks is pleased to announce the newest member of our Users Group, the Connell & Ponsford District School Area Board in Pickle Lake, Ontario. This contract represents MasterWorks’ first Ontario based board, expanding our users to now include divisions in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, the Northwest Territories and, now, Ontario. Connell & Ponsford DSAB will be implementing MasterWorks Classic Financials, Payroll, Web Based School Access, Substitute Booking and Excel Integration systems. Welcome!

Web Based Payroll Voucher system now available. – We are happy to announce the release of our new Web Based Payroll Voucher system. Remove the wasted time and energy of printing the vouchers, stuffing the envelopes and licking the stamps. Welcome to the Accredited Supportive Living Society, the newest member of the MasterWorks Users Group. This non-profit organization is located in Grimshaw, Alberta just outside of Peace River. Their mission statement is: Promoting community inclusion for persons with disabilities and/or barriers through support, skill development and advocacy. A.S.L.S. will be implementing the Financial, Payroll and HR systems in the month of April.

Excel Integration module now available – We are happy to announce the release of our much-anticipated Excel Integration module. With this tool users can develop spreadsheets that will automatically update with current information each time they are opened. For those who are more comfortable using a spreadsheet than a report designer, this is the solution. Welcome to the latest member of the MasterWorks Users Group, Family Linkages Foundation of Alberta (FLFA). In January FLFA will go live with the MasterWorks Financial and Payroll system. This non-profit organization provides services to families of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in Edmonton, Alberta. The payroll heavy nature of their business, combined with the requirement for fund accounting makes MasterWorks an excellent fit for FLFA’s growing business.

Tax tables for 2007 now available – The new tax tables are now available from our Website, in the Client Secure Section under Payroll User Guides. If you have any questions or have forgotten your password, please call the office at 403.201.5466.

User Group attendees ‘greenlight’ Web Based Payroll Vouchers and Excel Integration modules - At our recently held user group meetings in Red Deer, Saskatoon and Winnipeg users collectively approved our development of two new modules. A prototype was shown of Web Based Payroll Vouchers, which will allow all employees to quickly and easily download their vouchers from the Internet. No more stuffing envelopes or licking stamps! As well a system to provide direct integration between the MW data files and Excel was also well received. This would allow for functions such as auto-loading of Financial Statements or easy Payroll reconciliations to Pension bodies. Both modules are targeted to be completed for September of this year. Stay tuned for further updates.

Welcome to Rehoboth Christian Ministries! - In January Rehoboth, headquartered in Stony Plain, Alberta, adopted the MasterWorks Payroll system to meet their diverse requirements. This non-profit entity provides services to developmentally disabled children and adults across Alberta with offices in Stony Plain, Grande Prairie, Three Hills, Calgary and Coaldale. Of the many different programs and services that Rehoboth administers one of the best is Completely Puzzled, a custom puzzle-making service employing and empowering Rehoboth’s clients. Check it out!

Sales of Sub Booking and School Access - From: May 2004 - Sales remain steady for both the Sub Booking and School Access modules. 38 of our boards now utilize the Sub Booking system to track Teacher absenteeism and the related Substitute details. 45 boards have purchased our Web Based School Access which provides even more functionality than before with version 5.0.
